About Wayne Brush

Your oral health is much more than just your teeth –
something most brands ignore.

The majority of toothbrush providers only focus on teeth.
At Wayne Brush, we are about total oral care –
that means your gums and gum tissue –
as well as your teeth.

We provide a solution to the very common issue of brushing with excessive force causing gum recession.

Gum recession is irreversible and can lead to multiple health issues for the entire body, not just poor oral health. We design cost-effective manual toothbrushes engineered to prevent you from brushing with too much force and to make you slow down and brush more thoroughly.

The Wayne Brush is designed for individuals of all ages, from children to seniors. Our ergonomically designed handle is easy to hold for all hand sizes and individuals with arthritis or limited motion will find it particularly helpful.

We aren’t trying to reinvent the toothbrush – just the way that you brush,
ensuring your gums stay healthy and your teeth nice and clean.

How does the Wayne Brush work?

Like a circuit breaker for teeth and gums, the Wayne Brush instantly releases when excessive force is applied, then quickly snaps back once the amount of force is reduced.

What is a force-sensitive toothbrush?

A force-sensitive toothbrush, like the Wayne Brush, helps to ensure that proper brushing force is used.  In the case of the Wayne Brush, if you exceed 5 newtons, the toothbrush head releases to reduce the chance of damage to teeth and gums.

Why use a force-sensitive toothbrush?

Applying too much force while brushing can easily lead to damage to sensitive gums and erosion of tooth enamel.  Once gum tissue and enamel are gone, they’re gone forever.  Using a force-sensitive toothbrush, like the Wayne Brush, helps to protect your teeth and gums.

Why use Wayne Brush?

The design of the Wayne Brush is the result of extensive prototyping and testing.  The head of the Wayne Brush is designed to release when excessive force is used.  The toothbrush head is easily returned to its proper position.  Over time users learn to use the proper amount of brushing force to ensure clean teeth while protecting their gums and enamel.

What people are saying about Wayne Brush

This is April from asthedrillturns.com. I received your toothbrush in the mail and have been using it (in addition to my electric toothbrush).

I've worked in dentistry for nearly 30 years now. And I've tried lots of toothbrushes! I really enjoy the soft bristles and the shape and size of the head on this brush. I personally have very tight contacts and large healthy teeth, but I've been a perio patient since I was 28 years old.

Although I've been in a healthy maintenance mode for quite some time, I do have recession and abfractions from young years of rough brushing. If only I had this brush as a kid! I could have learned some great habits that would have carried me in a different direction, I'm sure.

But I did enjoy seeing that I'm not over the top with my brushing pressure now. The handle didn't open once. Until I brushed my tongue! So, I know it works.

I hope all is well in your neck of the woods. I used the new version of the toothbrush.
Love it! Thanks for fixing the magnets and handle length. It is perfect!

Best wishes for a successful launch!

My son has been using the toothbrush and he loves it. The first couple days he used it, he was obviously pressing too hard but ever since then he hasn't had it separate. I think its a great tool for young children. Great design, good job!

I LOVE my Wayne brush! Seriously, it works great and has made me realize how much I have been overbrushing my teeth.
